Day 10 - Stonehenge
Our next stop was Stonehenge. Harry had given us a ton of information, told us stories and folklore, gave us the history of the monument...all of which we had forgotten by the time we got there. We were queued up with tourists from the other 5 buses and slowly made our way around the monument.
It is roped off, but you can walk all the way around it and see the ditch that surrounds it. It was windy and cold (are you sensing a theme for this trip?) but it was amazing none the less. Supposedly it is on a magnetic vortex with healing powers, but we were still sniffling when we got back on the bus so maybe we are immune...
It seems weird that there is a large road and cows right next to such an iconic monument, but it is out in the middle of nowhere, so I guess the road has to be somewhere! I can't imagine how busy it gets here in the middle of summer.
